Peter's journalistic career started in his early 20's whilst he was working as a ski instructor in Switzerland. He would compile the snow reports for the English Newspapers and write montly features for the specilaist ski magazines such as SKI SURVEY.
His humorous and lucid writing style immediately made him hot property in the windsurfing world. He contributed to On Board magazine and Boards as a tester and feaures/technique writer before Windsurf Magazine magazine offered him a retainer. However, his windsurfing journalism got off to an inauspicious start.
"These were the first words I wrote for a windsurfing magazine. "Waves are like women. Their shapely form is treacherously alluring. They pull you in but end up dumping you and costing you a lot of money." My how times have changed. It was written in the best possible spirit but I'm not sure it would get past the PC police today!"
Today he writes 2 columns a month for WINDSURF magazine covering a wide range of subjects from technique to travel. His ‘how to …’ features are devoured by improving windsurfers.
