THE COURSE - What it's all about?
General skills and wave-sailing. The course is limited to 12 sailors so, as is usual on a PH clinic, you set your own agenda and as much as we can, we work on it one to one.

Suggested standard
It's the open ocean so you need to be a 100% waterstarter, able to sail a 100 litre board on the plane up and downwind AND, very importanty, be a confident swimmer.

THE CONDITIONS
At the north end of the bay where both Club Mistral and Angulo have centres, you have great free-riding, bump and jump conditions and often just upwind, great learning waves.
A five minute drive away there are excellent jumping conditions on sandy kite beach
Club Mistral also has a centre in the middle of the bay which is predominatly flat blasting. We can use both centres.

Perhaps this is tempting fate but the wind is very reliable - especially around March.

About the Place.
Various descriptions I've heard are: 'Africa without the flies,' and 'The Canaries heated up and with Caribbean water.' But they both fall short. Sal is unique - the vistas, the culture, the cuisine (marvellous), the spirit, the locals - it's an amazing place and it's a great opportunity to experience it before the developers get their teeth in.

We've gone for B and B because there are a glut of fantastic, great value restaurants.

The Hotel Morabeza
We've gone for the Puntao because it offers excellent value. It's locally run, clean, friendly and wonderfully unpretentious. It's right next to Club Mistral's free-ride centre and just a 10 minute walk from their wave centre.
