ABOUT THE PLACE
For me clinics must be more holiday and less boot camp. The wind and saling are crucial but it's also essential to have pleasant surroundings offering a variety of alcohols, and a comfortable placde where you can sit and exaggerate about the day’s events.
So  I was delighted when two separate lots of highly discerning windy buddies returned from trips last year to Illyasos in the north of RHODES declaring it to be one of the best  they’ve ever had. They said it ticked more boxes than they had boxes to tick.

• sailed everyday on sails ranging from 7.5 down to 5
• solid side-shore wind right to the beach ideal for practising moves.
• Excellent and plentiful  JP  kit from the Pro Centre.
• Great hotel where non-windy partners were delirious with joy
• Delightful town
  I know Rhodes pretty well and have not hesitated to organise a clinic there.

REQUIRED STANDARD
It's sailng area that suits all windsurfers so the required standard is only:
planing in the harness.

The wind is sideshore and blows right into the beach so it's ideal for practising and teaching.

The Course
It's one of those places where I can just work through yourt personal agenas, whether it's cracking the waterstart, early planing, getting comfortable in the straps, gybing or dipping into that first forward.

Equipment
Thre are 2 Pro Centres either side of the hotel, one F2, One JP, both excellent.
